General Practice Trainees Australia is here to support ALL doctors working and training in General Practice in Australia.
Our focus is particularly on helping doctors on less supported training pathways.
The aims of GPTA are:
- To provide a central source of information about training and working in general practice in Australia
- To ensure equity in the resourcing and provision of training for all training GPs
Any Membership fees or other revenues for GPTA go directly towards the cost of managing the website and other GPTA activities.
Dr Rebecca Stewart

Dr Rebecca Stewart is GP and Medical Educator who is passionate about supporting Doctors training in General Practice.
Megan is the Passionate Founder & Enthusiastic Director of People Medical Consulting, a consulting firm dedicated to providing recruitment support and career counselling to General Practitioners and Medical Facilities Australia wide. Having been in Medical recruitment since 2012, her favourite thing to do at work is problem solve- finding a solution for a GP or medical practice who wind up in a pickle!
Dr Shrishti Dutta
MBBS MRCGP FRACGP DFSRH DRCOGShrishti completed her basic medical training in India, then moved to the UK where she undertook vocational training in General Practice. She had been working as a GP in UK since 2008 and in Australia since 2015. Shrishti has a special interest in Womens Health, Contraception, Dermatology and Mental Health. Shrishti also has a keen interest in teaching and training in primary healthcare settings, having continued to do so once she relocated to Australia.

Anthony is an accomplished Psychiatrist and Medical Executive. He is the Founder of Advancemed, Australia’s leading online doctor career coaching and advisory service.
